TWO GREAT LOCATIONS!
8/12/08
Hey Everyone
Just want to let you know that we have all kinds of cool things going on right now and coming up. Next week we are feeding the kids for free. That’s right, not only do the kids get to eat for free but they also get a dollar off at the Fish Hole miniature golf course on Bridge St. We are offering 20% off to Island Residents (we’re not checking ID’s so come on out whether you live on the Island or not). We are setting up a Karaoke contest where you can compete at several different locations throughout the months of October and November with the winners from each location competing in the grand finale at the original location. We are also having a “Best Wings on the Island” contest where all the different restaurants will be cooking off their wings and bringing them into Ralph’s on the Pier for the public to taste and vote on. Each tray of wings will be numbered and you pick your favorite. At the end of the day the ballots will be counted and we’ll see who offers the best wings. Can you believe all the excitement? Keep your eyes open for other weekly events and specials as well. Don’t forget the fun begins where the road ends, and as always we have “Free Beer Tomorrow” Dave, Kay Tyler and the Crew at Ralph’s Update to July 2008 Newsletter We raised in the neighborhood of $1500.00 for the Neumann family. Karen, Jordan, Dakota and Brianna all came out for the weekend and we had a great time. 10 year old Brianna got up and sang a song in tribute to her father which had everyone in tears. Over all the response was great and it was an honor to meet the family and do something to help a little in such a tragic time. On a lighter note this weekend is the big fishing tournament. The Captains meeting is Friday at the Community Center at which you’ll get a chance to check out our Chicken Wings, but grab them fast they won’t last long. And then Saturday night from 8:30 to 12:00 midnight will be the offshore weigh-in. We are expecting hundreds of people to come and check out the big fish and the bar and restaurant will be open until the festivities are over. At the Pier we now have the bait shop open. We rent fishing poles and sell Bait, Tackle, Ice Cream, Chips, Ice, T-Shirts, Hats, Sunglasses and more. It’s a regular Haberdashery. Check it out. And as always “FREE BEER TOMORROW” July 2008 Newsletter HWY 41 wants to extend an invitation to each of you to join us for some fun, and also help out with a little fund-raiser being held at Rotten Ralph’s Restaurant on Anna Maria Island, July 18-20. All weekend, we’ll be doing our part to help raise money for the family of Raymond Neumann. Mr. Neumann was the truck driver who was killed recently in the fiery accident on I-75 near Ellenton. He swerved to avoid a collision with another out-of-control vehicle and ended up crashing down onto U.S. 301 from the overpass. Mr. Neumann left behind a wife and three young children. ![]() HWY 41, will perform all three days – Friday and Saturday (July 18-19) from 7-10 p.m. and Sunday (July 20) from 2-5 p.m. We hope to see you there!
